Sourav to me has time and again been an unnatural phenomenon. He has this uncanny knack of rising from the dust and turning all odds in his favour!!!
I have observed Ganguly right from our under – 19 days, while playing together in junior matches and having interacted with him on the field and off it consistently,- it’s given me a good idea of the person he is in both situations…or that’s what I believed!!!
‘Unreasonable!!’Ganguly
I thought of him as a highly talented and more than capable batsman—however, having an attitude and work ethic unbecoming of a successful cricketer. I never gave him a chance to succeed at the higher level simply because of his unprofessional attitude. I have seen him always taking the easy way out – avoiding critical fielding positions, demoting himself in the batting order at critical situations ( especially when he had to face a good fast bowler ) and avoiding training sessions.
If all the people (playing or otherwise) around him were asked to fill out a column under the heading ‘Reasons for Ganguly to be unsuccessful ’, the list would be quite extensive.
But, what does Mr. Ganguly do?!! — Goes beyond these reasons by striking out each one on the list and comes out as a ‘hero from zero’. He has made it happen once too often to be brushed off as luck. He is simply being ‘unreasonable’—not stopped by the reasons!!
Isn’t it a lesson for all of us to learn? — Just take action & go after our possibilities and dreams without succumbing to all the reasons (excuses) for failure. These reasons that would negate the same possibility that we create!!
Ganguly’s second coming defines and gives practical meaning to the words such as belief, perseverance and confidence.
It also has shattered all my perceptions of him and his ways and my viewpoints of his attitude. There is no one way in achieving your goals as long as you have the belief in your abilities and go after all your possibilities with conviction!!!
Shall we all start being unreasonable going forward?!!!! I will for sure !!….

Sourav Ganguly has really been a victim of time and the unreasonable politics of BCCI… ever since his first hundred in his debut match he has proven that he had and has the capability of winning matches for team INDIA single handedly…
The way he busted england in their homeland to ashes was really the dawn of SOURAV “PHEONIX” GANGULY, as an aggresive captain of team India.
But during CHAPPEL’s reign he was totally underestimated and was never an active member of think tank.The result was but obvious,a morally disarmed captain whom the BCCI thought better to be kept out of the team…every time since then his contendership was always suppressed by giving lame excuses to the media…
But since his return he has broken the shackles and told the world,that cheap politics of the BCCI will not keep the MAHARAJA away from cricket for a long time…
LONG LIVE DADA…wish to see you once again captaining TEAM INDIA…
Thanks for taking an oppurtunity to praise a great player who has devoted his life for our country. As you said and was a target of cheap politics, and media too. He is boon to INDIA and as you said he has proved his worth.
I think he was the Best Captain for our team, he was the reason our team started winning matches went to worldcup final, he gave chance to the new comers, he was one of the best player and he is in India and he will be.

sourav ganguly is an inspiration 4 others coz he has shown that if u have faith in yourself u can achieve what u want some pepole has this in their destiny that they always remain in limelight nd he is among them only
he has proven himself many times in his jouney till now nd will proove himself again and again because he know how to turn things in his favour he is a real bengal tiger a truly maharaja and he will be like that only
no one or no situation can change him beause he has the power to change situations and i salute him 4 what he has given to the indian cricket many pepole in india dont recognize his importance in the indian cricket but he is the one who make the situations to recognize him
he is truly a fighter and the best captain we ever had in our country no one can take his place coz mahraja is one and only one
